Goals and Objectives
- To clearly communicate our vision, values, and principles so that the objectives of QCFS Inc is fully understood by all.
- To pursue our vision in a way that exemplifies at all times First Nations values and beliefs so that our integrity is never compromised.
- To ensure that both traditional and contemporary approaches will be considered in program services and delivery.
- To ensure that policies and procedures affecting children and their families are communicated in such a way that they can be understood by them and are readily accessible to them.
- To respect the social, cultural, spiritual differences of children, their families and communities.
- To ensure that the special needs of children and their families are identified and that their linguistic, cultural and spiritual needs are taken into consideration when providing services to them.
- To ensure programs to assist families in meeting their responsibilities as parents and enhancing their skills to the benefit of the family as a whole.
- To make available a range of programs and services that will enhance the quality of life for all Qu'Appelle First Nations.
- To mobilize resources to ensure that the communities are provided the necessary support and assistance to achieve individual community interests and initiatives.
- To ensure our staffing practises are based on the merit principle and reflect the importance of hiring and promoting individuals who possess values and abilities consistent with our objectives, and who demonstrate a variety of attributes and skills, with emphasis on maturity, good judgement, effective communication and teamwork.
- To foster good relationships with other agencies such as Ministry of Social Services, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, local authorities, Saskatchewan ICFS Agencies, Qu'Appelle First Nations communities and others involved with First Nation children and families.
